Heard in my house tonight... or not

I've always suspected that "LOL" in IM and text messaging is overused. Now I have proof.

By a combination of us working on our various projects & such tonight, all three of us ended up sitting in one room... each staring intently and silently at their laptop (Reilly has an old cheapie to play DOS racing games on). Figured I'd keep in touch with the family:
Jeff says:
Hi cutie
Maren says:
hi sweetie
Jeff says:
we have to get reilly set up with IM so we can all talk :P
Maren says:
lol
Jeff says:
no you're not
