My new office is set up, in the room that was our master bedroom. I always wanted a home office with a nice wood floor & furniture. Here it is in its present state. The desk is actually a medium-sized "This End Up" dining room table. That was fun to move, even after I took it apart. The bloody thing weighs 100 lbs, and it's all in the tabletop.

Someday, I'd like to have a nice antique wooden desk. That comes apart so it can get through the bedroom door. (Slim chance, methinks.)
Here's the view from where I sit:

And when I look left... I have my window, my window, my second-story window:

...which is going to be really beautiful in a few weeks. That tree is just beginning to turn.
The only thing, besides clutter, that I had to remove from the room was the four-poster bed. It's a really nice piece so I figured I'd put it in the basement until we needed it.
Sadly, the Laws of Fizziks were against me in this. (I fought the law for about a half an hour, but as those things go... the law won.) Neither the head nor foot boards would fit down our basement stairs, no matter how I twisted and turned them. It was like one of those metal puzzles made from rings and curvy bits, where you have to figure out how to get them apart and back together without using a blowtorch. (Only it was a five-foot, 50-pound version with big impaling wooden spikes.) So we have a lovely bed not quite set up in the kitchen.
I hope to get an area rug up here for the bare floor. We have a persian-style one in the basement if I can get it cleaned up.
