Huh? Wha? *crap*

Blog? What blog?I just looked at my own flipping blog and realized I hadn't posted in over a month. As Maren says, that's sacrilege since I run the server. Probably true.
The problem is that every time I go here to post, I get this sinking feeling in the pit o' my stomach. A little voice tells me "You don't have anything interesting to say! Go away!" and I rumble back over to Maren's place or Slashdot or whatever, or troll along through my Sage feeds looking for a fix of bloggy reading.
This site is the namesake of Pink Floyd song and is supposed to be my personal blog in regard to my journey here. But honestly I don't have the emotional energy to write about those sorts of things.
I read an article lately about starting a blog, and what to write about. The short answer: whatever you're passionate about. Well this blog seems to not reflect that in my case. Politics isn't it, nor most of the other topics I've covered lately.
The first is my family (which is well covered by Maren on her blog); my other passions are sailing (which I sadly never do these days, since I have neither the funds, time, nor access to equipment) and technology. I enjoy lots of other stuff - music, movies, outdoors, etc. - but they're not passions as much as the aforementioned items.
So I suppose (writing off the cuff here) that I will concentrate on the technology side. I'm steeped in it every day and I keep up with news on that front more than anything else. I have a blog on that topic which will see updates of a techie bent about web programming, automation, and perhaps other technology subjects.
I may come here from time to time to give updates or post the occasional funny, but since there are better sources for those things, I'll mostly leave it alone unless there's something personal to write about that I feel strongly about. If that's the case, I'll let the usual reader suspects know via email; or you can always use my RSS feed to see if there's anything new.
